My candle burns at both ends; It will not last the night; But ah, my foes, and oh, my friends— It gives a lovely light!” —  Edna Millay

In a world filled with daily depravity, there is a light that illuminates spontaneity and beauty. Amongst the tumult of the voices that are ignored and the pontifical charlatans masked as politicians, art brings the epiphanies nobody knew they needed. As far as I could recall my youth as a little girl, I knew that beauty was around me. It was not so much on the surface level of beauty, but more in a profound sense. Seeing the gifts that the mundane offers is not actually so mundane. I did not see a proper environment growing up one would consider conventional. But I took that and conveyed the beauty that pain is. Pain brings inspiration, and inspiration makes the world that much more lively.
